About

Welcome to my website! I am a PhD candidate at the European Institute and a teaching assistant at the Government Department, both at the London School of Economics.

I conduct research on voting behaviour, parties' election strategies and political representation in Western Europe. My current research focuses on the relationship between voter turnout and party representation. I am also working on a project that studies the effect of voters' partisan attachments on their perceived policy agreement with parties. Aside from research, I also teach a class on comparative European politics at the undergraduate level.

Before coming to the LSE, I completed an MPhil in Politics (with Distinction) at the University of Oxford. Prior to that, I was awarded a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (First Class) from the University of York.

You can find out more about my work and research interests here. My CV is available here.

Research

This page lists some of my research interests and working papers. Broadly, I am interested in voting behaviour, political representation, party competition and voter turnout.

Blogs

Together with Simon Hix and Richard Whitaker, I have recently written a blog post on MEPs' attitudes on various issues, such as Brexit negotiations, European integration, reform of the European Parliament, immigration or market regulation. The key findings from the European Parliament Research Group's Survey can be found here.

I have also written a blog about Whitehall's challenges in the ongoing Brexit negotiations. The blog was based on a discussion with senior civil servants, politicians, academics, and journalists. You can find the blog here.

Working Papers
