I am Reader within Department of Management at LSE and have since 1986 studied ICT-based innovation. I have the past decade focused on two strands: the innovation of mobile services at work (enterprisemobilitybook.com), and infrastructural service innovation.(www.digitalinfrastructures.org).

In 2001 I founded the mobility@lse (mobility.lse.ac.uk) research unit, which aims at drawing together academics with an interest in the profound changes to society, organisations and individuals from mobile, pervasive and ubiquitous information technology.

I have extensive EU research project experience from 1992 and international project experience from 1990. I have over the years consulted for a range of organisations, for example; Microsoft, Google, Telenor, Orange, PA Consulting Group, IMF, Steria, CSC, The Mobile Virtual Centre of Excellence, 3 UK, Skype, AXA, Carphone Warehouse, Computer Associates, and The Danish Ministry of Science. You can contact me on c.sorensen@lse.ac.uk and this homepage is located at www.carstensorensen.com. You can read more about what I do on the other pages, where you can find a brief bio and detailed cv’s on other pages of this site. The only publication available here is the newest version of “This Is Not An Article”. For more up-to-date information on research and to download of my papers, please visit mobility@lse for publications on mobile service innovation, and digitalinfrastructures.org for papers on platform- and infrastructure innovation.

For directions to my office, find your way to LSE and the New Academic Building here, then take the lift to the 3rd floor. Turn right through the double-doors and then left to locate my office.
