Thank
you for visiting my personal website, hosted by the London School of
Economics and Political Science. I have
experience assisting in criminal justice advocacy and litigation,
consultative programme development, and am currently pursuing a Doctorate in Social Policy at the LSE. I
am affiliated with the
Mannheim Centre for Criminology and the
Social Policy
Department, and my current doctoral work focuses on understanding the impact of adaptive policing responses to drugs
policy as implemented by
street-level officers. While I most
enjoy ethnography and drug policy related research, I have a broad
methodological background and experience analysing many facets of criminal
justice policy, including street-level policing, community policing,
policy impacts, and police culture. I am also involved in consultative research and
policy evaluation with the National Offender Management Service, and
write freelance for
The Guardian's 'Comment is Free' section from
time to time.I
have now completed my PhD at the LSE, and am a Professor of Public
Safety
at
Sheridan College in Toronto, Canada
