In April 2010, I was interviewed by Stephen Evens for the BBC World Service's Business Daily. We discussed how policies are formulated at the International Monetary Fund, drawing on my book, Capital Ideas: The IMF and the Rise of Financial Liberalization. We also spoke about recent changes to IMF thinking on capital controls and inflation.
In March 2010, I was interviewed by Romesh Vaitilingam of Vox. We spoke about the evolution of economic ideas at the International Monetary Fund, drawing on my book, Capital Ideas: The IMF and the Rise of Financial Liberalization. We also discussed changes in IMF thinking about capital controls, the Tobin tax and macroeconomic policy - as well the possibility of IMF intervention in Greece.
In July 2009, I chaired a LSE public event on Housing Markets and the Global Financial Crisis. The debate revolved around the organization and transformation of housing finance systems and how they affect both national economies and international financial stability.
In May 2009, I was a roundtable participant in the second annual University of Warwick: Review of International Political Economy debate in international political economy. The debate centred around a discussion of national and regional traditions of international political economy. The podcast is divided in two parts.
