Top Tips to reduce energy usage

1. If you have a separate computer monitor turn it off when you're away from your desk.

2. Turn off lights whenever you leave your the room.

3. Shut your computer down fully at the end of the day.

4. Make sure heaters, computers, printers, speakers etc. are all turned off when you go out.
5. Only fill the kettle with as much water as you need.

Recycling

We have recently added recycling containers for both stamps and batteries. These can be found above the main mailboxes. The stamps are donated to charity. Recycling batteries is important because if they are sent to landfill they leak dangerous chemicals into the ground.

Maintenance

Kitchen Water Testing - 25th February, 28th February, 1st March.
In line with legal requirements we have to test the water in the kitchens. Operatives will be visiting each kitchen on Friday 25th February to take samples. On Monday 28th February and Tuesday 1st March there will be no drinking water available in the kitchens between 10am and 1pm.  We apologise for the inconvenience that this essential work may cause.

The Local Area

Works affecting Borough High Street
Thames Water and Southern Gas Networks will be undertaking works on Borough High Street until the end of March. The works will be taking pace at the junction of Borough High Street and St. Thomas' Street and will result in some disruption.

Dr. Bike
Dr. Bike returns to the Bankside Community Space (just behind Bankside House) on 25th February. There will be free basic bike maintenance and advice available. For more details visit The Better Bankside website.
