Maintenance

Carpet removal
You will have noticed that the carpet has been taken off the walls in the area leading to the restaurant. At present the contractors are working on the 3rd floor, they plan to move to the 4th floor during the week commencing 16th May and then onto the 6th floor around 1st June.

Lifts
We would like to thank all residents for the patience during the recent problems with the lifts. We worked with the contractors to resolve the problem as quickly as possible and have put measures in place to prevent the same problem happening again.

Portable Appliance Testing
If you would like your personal items testing for electrical safety our contractors will be available, in the restaurant, between 10am and 12noon on Wednesday 18th May. They will test any items which need to be plugged in. This is a really good opportunity to have your items tested free of charge.

Housekeeping

Bathroom checks - week commencing 16th May.
Rooms will be checked during the week commencing the 16th May. If you bathroom is found to be in an unacceptable condition you will be immediately charged £30 and housekeeping will be sent to clean your bathroom. There will be no option to clean the bathroom yourself after the inspections. Please remember that bathroom cleaning services are available through reception - they will clean your bathroom for £11.40. Following this set of checks rooms will be checked every two weeks until the end of term.

Reception

UK Threat Level
A few residents have queried potential security threats in the UK following recent events. The police have advised that there is no increase in the threat level at present. As ever they ask people to remain vigilant and to report anything suspicious to the police immediately.
