I am a Lecturer in the Department of International History at LSE. I specialise in the history of Imperial Russia during the ‘long eighteenth century’ from 1689 until 1825.

My research focuses on the Russian Court and the city of St Petersburg during this period, specifically on the question of ‘Europeanisation’ in Russia from the reign of Peter the Great onward.
