Family: Although I have lived in London since 1980, I am a citizen of the United States, as are my children
My wife, Gul Berna, is a Turk from Pertek, near Elazğ, and Avram, Ada and Gul Berna all have British citizenship.  We also have links to Izmir and Şirince.

Gul Berna Ozcan, PhD
Gul Berna is a Reader in International Business and Entrepreneurship at the School of Management, Royal Holloway (University of London) where she does research on small and medium-sized enterprises, entrepreneurship, governance and decentralisation, European business, political economy of Turkey and Southern Europe, Islam and business, corporate governance, transition economies of Central Asia and enterprise development.

She is a Woodrow Wilson Fellow, linked to the Kennan Institute of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars (2008-2009), was a Leverhulme Trust Fellow (2005-2007) and also a Robert S. McNamara Fellow of the World Bank (1998-1999), has held major grants from the Ford and Nuffield Foundations and is a visiting fellow of the European Institute of the London School of Economics.
