I am a PhD candidate at the LSE Department of Anthropology, supervised by Dr. Michael Scott (LSE) and Dr. Laura Rival (Oxford). My research looks at the lives of the Sanema of Southern Venezuela and their encounter with Bolivarianism, technology and modernization. Other areas of interest include multiculturalism, indigenous politicization, collective land title claims, alterity and interethnic relations.
I completed my undergraduate degree at University College London and since then have lived and worked in the USA, Spain, and Nicaragua. The themes of my current research project are motivated by my experience working with NGOs in Southern Venezuela.
