Your Committee

The Bankside Committee is elected every year at the start of Lent Term. We are in charge of organising events, helping people to fit in an generally making Bankside the best residence to be in. We all have different roles to play but tend to muck in with everything as well. At the moment, this page is still being updated after various technical problems, all will be solved by the end of the week! Your current committee is comprised of the following lovely group of people;

Members of the Committee

Harriet Allen (President)

Hi, my name is Harriet Allan and I am the president of the Bankside House committee. I study Anthropology and law and come from near Harrogate in Yorkshire.  As your president I am here to represent you ideas and feelings and try to make our home the best place to live in by organising events in the bar along with the rest of my fabulous committee. There are always plenty of things to see and so around Bankside and anything you need help with or want to know about please do not hesitate to ask. I love Bankside, it is a fantastic place to be and I have loved my first year and i hope you will enjoy it too!

Linda Ikwuagwu (Welfare Officer)

My name’s Linda and I’m Welfare Officer of the Bankside Committee. I’m a third year Law Student and have been staying at Bankside for the last two years. Bankside is a great place, full of a fun, diverse range of people, creating an environment which everyone loves.  As Welfare Officer I advocate safe-sex throughout the halls, and I am the first point of call for 100% free (and flavoured) condoms. My talents are endless as I am also in charge of opening the library on a weekly basis, so your budding intellectual needs are also met.

Jack Tindale (Communications Officer)

I'm Jack, serving as Communications Officer, basically, that means that I'm in charge of everything from sending out the weekly Bankside e-mail to all residents to keeping this website in full working order. In addition, I also tend to be the resident quiz-master and I will also be serving as the Bankside IT Advisor. I'm a Second Year reading Government and History and originally from Barnsley in South Yorkshire. Outside Bankside and my course, I'm interested in museums, anime, literature and boring everyone to tears over politics!
