I am on sabbatical leave in 2011/12. From September to December 2011, I am based at the Institute for Quantitative Social Science at Harvard University, and from January 2012 at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin.

Initial results from a study with Mark Hallerberg on the competence of economic policymakers were widely reported during November 2011, for instance by the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (Germany), The Guardian (UK), I Kathimerini (Greece), La Repubblica (Italy), La Vanguardia (Catalonia) and the Wall Street Journal (US).
