As a newly coined area of social science research, "China Studies" distinguishes itself from the humanities, and the more literary, culture-based, and area studies commonly referred to as "Chinese Studies". In addition to the seminars and lectures on China Studies already organized by SOAS and Westminster University, etc. in London, the China Studies Seminar at LSE will be irregular and mainly involve Chinese scholars and scholars who carried out fieldwork in China. This seminar is also additions to the MSc on China in Comparative Perspective taught by Professor Stephan Feuchtwang.2008
