The minimum entrance qualification required by the University of London for admission to the MPhil or the PhD is a Second class honours degree, but the School will normally expect candidates to have obtained at least an Upper Second Class honours or qualifications of equivalent standard; almost all candidates are expected of have obtained a Master's degree.

There are no specific requirements for entry into the doctoral programme and we have applicants with background in computer science, business studies, economics, sociology, philosophy and many other disciplines.  It is important that your interests are consonant with research in the department, and that you have the commitment and wherewithal to pursue the programme of study.
