    Alexis has a history of research and programme management in a range of substantive areas within sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), maternal and child health, HIV/AIDS, gender-based

    violence, and global mental health. Over the past 10 years, she has worked on numerous international programmes in Africa and Asia and conducted extensive UK-based research with the National Health

    Service. Alexis' work often focuses on understanding health behaviour, service access and delivery for hard-to-reach and marginalised populations.


    She is currently a PhD candidate in Demography within the Department of Social Policy at the London School of Economics. Her PhD explores self-directed violence amongst

    women of reproductive age in Sri Lanka, with a sub-focus on perinatal women and the role of SRHR in women's self-directed violence.
