We all hope you have all settled into Bankside! The Banksider will be sent once a week and contains important notices along with some tips and tricks to help you make the most out of your time here. This week there are details about fees, guest beds, cleaning and post.

Fee Payments

Residence fees are due by 5pm on Friday 15th October.
An invoice will be posted under your door over the weekend which will contain full details of your fees and how to pay. If you have any problems or queries about paying your fees please be sure to contact reception in advance of the deadline. Late payment will incur a charge of £5 per week.

Reception and Administration

Registered Mail and Parcels
Mail which requires a signature or which is too bulky for the mailboxes is kept behind reception. Please be sure to check the list near the mailboxes to see if you have any mail or parcels which need collecting. For more information please visit Mail and other deliveries. 

Housekeeping

Guest Bed Service
The Housekeeping team will start the guest bed service from Friday 8th October. If you would like a guest bed please book it at Reception by 1.30pm the day before you require the bed. Beds for the weekend must be booked by 1.30pm on Friday as beds can only be put into rooms Monday-Friday. Please also remember that all guests MUST be signed in at Reception. Room and Bathroom Cleaning Services
If you would like your bedroom and/or bathroom cleaned we can provide this service for a small cost. Please contact Reception from Monday 11th October for rates and details of how to book this service. If you would like to clean your own room there is a vacuum available at reception - you will need to leave your ID card when you borrow the vacuum. For more details please see Cleaning.

Refuse
Please make sure that you use the refuse stores for disposing of rubbish. These are clearly signed from the lift. Leaving rubbish in the lift lobbies or corridors poses a serious fire risk. If you cannot locate the refuse store on your floor please ask at Reception.
 

IT Information
Connecting to the LSE Network
Follow the IT Services guide to connect to the network and internet from your bedroom.

IT Surgeries
If you need further help Bankside has regular IT surgeries in the computer room;
- Monday 9.00am - 10.00am
- Wednesday 3.00pm - 4.00pm
- Sunday 6.00pm - 7.00pm

Free in London this Weekend

Big Draw Day
An International event celebrating the art of drawing. There are a series of events around London during October. 'Big Draw Day' itself is 9th October and highlights in London include:
 - The National Gallery who are running a drop is session with access to artists and free materials
 - The British Museum with activities based on the popular BBC Radio 4 series - 'A History of the World in 100 objects'. There are also interviews and talks with prominent specialists.
