Fee Payments

Residence fees are due by 5pm on Friday 15th October
An invoice has been posted under your door which contains full details of your fees and how to pay.
If you have issues with fee payment please follow the instructions sent by e-mail last week. Late payment will incur a charge of £5 per week. If you have any queries please contact Reception in advance of the deadline.

The Warden's Team

Free Croissants, Coffee and Newspapers - Sunday 17th & 24th October
The Warden's team will be hosting a relaxing few hours of free coffee, croissants and news papers on Sunday 17th and 24th October in the back of the Dining Room. It's an excellent way to catch up with the news, meet other residents and some of the Warden's team. Why not come down to the dining room between 10.00am and 11.30 to join us?

Bankside Sunday Football
Want to play football? Meet in the lobby at 11.45am for some five-a-side football on Sundays. All Banksiders welcome (girls too!). The pitch is astroturf and at the Colombo Centre, a five minute walk from Bankside. If you can't make the 11.45 time meet us there. For more details visit our Facebook group.

Reception and Administration

Registered Mail and Parcels
We have a significant number of parcels and other 'signed for' mail stored at reception. Please be make sure that you check the list posted near the mailboxes and collect mail as quickly as possible - mail that remains uncollected will be returned to sender. Sub-Letting - Strictly prohibited
Please be reminded that sub-letting your room is NOT allowed even during vacation periods. It is strictly against the terms of your licence agreement and can carry severe penalties. 

Housekeeping

Room and Bathroom Cleaning
We have now checked all rooms in the building for cleanliness - if you have received a request to clean your room please ensure that you do so as soon as possible.
If you would like your bedroom and/or bathroom cleaned we can provide this service for a small cost. Please contact Reception for rates and details of how to book this service.
If you would like to clean your own room there is a vacuum available at reception - you will need to leave your ID card when you borrow the vacuum. For more details please see Cleaning.

 

Maintenance

Have you spotted something that is broken or damaged?
If a fault develops in your room please let us know so that we can get it fixed as soon as possible - all you need to do it tell reception and we'll take it from there. If you spot a defect in a communal area please also let us know so we can fix it, the sooner things are reported the sooner they get fixed! For more details please see Defects.

If you need further help Bankside has regular IT surgeries in the computer room;
- Monday 9.00am - 10.00am
- Wednesday 3.00pm - 4.00pm
- Sunday 6.00pm - 7.00pm

Enhance LSE's campus!

From the LSE Estates department;
K57, the student social space in Kings Chambers (on the main campus, next door to the George pub) is currently underused and unloved. Carrying on LSE's long tradition of inviting the brightest minds to design some of its most important spaces this competition is being held open to LSE students to re-imagine K57. Proposals should include new uses for the space, be fun, low costs and imaginative be sustainable, and enhance the everyday experience of LSE students. Free in London this Weekend

Southbank Cheese and Wine Festival - Friday 15th to Sunday 17th October.
The Southbank Centre Square (just behind Royal Festival Hall and just 10 minutes walk from Bankside) will be playing host to over 30 exhibitors and events all based around cheese and wine. There will be stalls, talks and of course taste testing - what's more admission is free!
