Biography

Wenjie Wu is a doctoral researcher in spatial economics and economic geography, at the London School of Economics where he teaches quantitative methods in spatial, social and environmental analysis (GY240/2A0).

Wenjie’s PhD thesis is about the economic impact of public investment on land prices and homeowners' happiness. He has won the distinction-based PhD full scholarship granted by the London School of Economics, and got the “2010-11 Best PhD award” granted by the International Regional Science Association (British and Irish Section).

Wenjie Wu is also a research/project assistant of the ESRC/BIS/WAG funded Spatial Economics Research Centre at LSE. Research relates to spatial issues in the economics of real estate markets, happiness and wellbeing, transport, and is applied, policy-focused empirical work.
