Main research interests

My current research is into the relationship between voluntary sector organisations and the state.

I maintain an interest in the application of problem structuring methods to novel situations. I have developed the use of PSMs in a number of areas, including: for learning from project experience; for the re-organization of children's health services; for understanding perceptions of community services; and for the re-routing of the Notting Hill Carnival.
