1. Office hours for MT2021 are Thursdays between 11:30 and 12:30 in COL 3.05. Email me if you are self-isolating but still want to come to the office hour.
2. Assignments are due Mondays at 17:00.
3. Maths is better done in person than via email.
4. Remember: I am not a a Doctor, nor a PhD, not I have been knited a Sir. In your emails, you should refer to me as "Domenico" or (if really you cannot avoid being formal) Mr. Mergoni.
There is some
wonderful material that you can freely find online on YouTube. Some of my favourite (learning) channels are:
1.
MIT OpenCourseWare,
2.
Stanford,
3.
Harvard.
You might need to surf a while to find a course that interests you, but the quality of the material is really impressive, as much as the variety of the content.
I'd like to remind to foreign students that in the UK the access to many file-sharing websites dedicated to the spread of academics journals and scientific books, such as
LibGen,
Sci-hub (of which there exists also the Telegram bot:
@scihubot), is restricted and illegal. Among these restrictions, the fact that it is not possible to access these websites from most common browser (with the exception perhaps of Opera on VPN mode). The access to this almost infinite array of free resources, many of which not available anymore in other formats, is therefore not suggested.
