ACADEMIC IMPACT

  • Although there are many potential ways of assessing academic impact, citation counts are increasingly becoming a dominant measure of impact in academic circles.
  • The presence of a number of databases that specialise in citation counts has made tracing citations easier. This site reports what are arguably the three main citation databases: the Thomson ISI Web of Knowledge Social Science Citation index, Elsevier’s Scopus, and Google Scholar.
  • For each dataset, either the relevant link or the total citation count, the evolution of citations and the h-index is provided.
  • In addition, we include Andrés’ profile in ResearchGate.
